Saturday, August 24th, 2024 – We are happy to welcome legendary fingerpicker, bluesman and storyteller Roy Book Binder, playing at our shop for the first time!
A student and friend of the Rev. Gary Davis, Roy is equally at home with blues and ragtime. He is known to shift from open tunings to slide arrangements to original compositions, with both traditional and self-styled licks. His storytelling is another characteristic that makes his style unique.
Joining Roy on the bill (and likely on some tunes) will be local blues legend Ernie Hawkins. Pittsburgh folk and blues fans know Ernie well, another one of Gary Davis’ star students. Ernie has done as much as anyone to continue the tradition of rural blues and ragtime playing, through his concerts, teaching and videos.
The show – seating is extremely limited! We are offering pre-sale on 30 tickets and then will revert to standing room only on the day of the show. Doors at 7pm, music starting around 7:30pm. $30 guarantees a seat, though not any seat in particular! First come, first pick. This show will be BYOB. Please call us at the shop with any questions!

Prior to shipment before shipping, we'll examine thoroughly the items you've purchased. Currently, most orders are shipped within 48 hours. The delivery time will be between 3-7 days.
Returns
Due to multiple parties such as the factory and the warehouse, we're unable to fully manage stock. The levels of stock can change at any time. You may not receive your order once it has been placed.
Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. Unfortunately, if thirty days have passed since you purchased your product, we are unable to offer you a return or exchange.
For your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It should also be in the original package.
