(NEW) We are about the biggest fans of Huss & Dalton guitars, and are now about 20 years into a wonderful partnership, bringing you guys some of the coolest flat tops in the world. Last year, we got our hands on a few sets of figured “exotic” Indian rosewood back/side sets, real eye-poppers, and the guitars they’ve built for us have been EPIC. This TOM-R is an absolute home run, one of the best Orchestra Models in our store.
We’ve gotten away from cedar somewhat, focusing more on sinker redwood, but this guitar reminds us just how compelling this traditional top wood can sound. Its relative softness makes cedar highly responsive, and on this guitar it’s hard to imagine a more lush and rich OM tone. As a fingerpicker it is exemplary, but it also has a really pleasing strummed sound, with a blended voice and a slight percussive character. Very nice!
The Indian rosewood sides are pretty conventional looking, but the back has a beautiful book-matched figuring, a cascading pattern that is a feast for the eyes. We had H&D use stealthy tortoise binding on the body and a rope purfling (with split-herringbone rosette) to keep the focus mostly on the tone woods, but these appointments are pretty distinctive in and of themselves.
Long scale with 1 3/4″ nut and 2 1/4″ string spacing at the saddle. Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins. Mahogany neck with comfortable mod-V profile and satin finish. Waverly 1129 Special Issue Vintage Oval tuners. TKL tweed-style hard case.
A very fine OM with its own voice. Lovely.

Returns
Due to multiple parties such as the factory and the warehouse, we're unable to fully manage stock. The levels of stock can change at any time. You may not receive your order once it has been placed.
Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. Unfortunately, if thirty days have passed since you purchased your product, we are unable to offer you a return or exchange.
For your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It should also be in the original package.
