(USED) Man oh man, how lucky are we? In a world experiencing a serious drought of Collings mandolins, we have just taken on consignment one of the finest things that money can buy, and incredible MF5 Varnish from 2018!
In excellent condition but not a case queen, this mandolin has a nice open sound but also the signature Collings clarity. It has an Adirondack spruce top and flamed maple back and sides (the back is a single piece with excellent figuring!) The entire instrument is finished in varnish for maximum volume and responsiveness.
The nut is standard 1 1/8″ and the ebony fingerboard has Collings’ compound radius. The entire instrument is bound in ivoroid, including the ebony pick guard. The peghead has the brilliant Torch & Wire inlay scheme. Waverly tuners with ebony buttons.
Save for a few VERY LIGHT pick swipe marks on the top (very shallow, not scratches) and some light pickin’ and postin’ wear on the pick guard, the visuals are excellent. There is very faint fret wear under the unwound courses in the first position, still years away from any fret work. There is very faint evidence on the peghead of a clip-on tuner being applied. All of these are beyond minor, but you know, laying it all out for ya!
Included in the sale is a grey Calton case with green interior, a top tier case for a top tier mandolin.

Returns
Due to multiple parties such as the factory and the warehouse, we're unable to fully manage stock. The levels of stock can change at any time. You may not receive your order once it has been placed.
Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. Unfortunately, if thirty days have passed since you purchased your product, we are unable to offer you a return or exchange.
For your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It should also be in the original package.
