(USED) In the 1970s, Guild basically cornered the market on the 12-string acoustic with their jumbo and super jumbo instruments. This F512-NT was one of the top tier instruments of its day, and it comes to us now in almost time capsule visual condition. The original owner tells us that it spent most of its life in its case, put away. Now it is time for it to find a new home and make some of that rich jangly music that these do so well!
The NT stands for “Natural Top” and in this case it is a set of tight-grained Sitka. The Indian rosewood back and sides give this guitar some serious heft, but we expect nothing less from a 17″ instrument. It has a long 25 5/8″ scale length with approx. 1 13/16″ nut width and an overall string spacing of 2 1/2″ at the saddle. It has white plastic binding with top and side purfling, 3-ring rosette and an ebony fingerboard with beautiful pearl inlays. The tuners are gold, Guild-branded.
The visual condition shows just a few signs of use, including a few long lacquer checks on the bass side of the upper bout and a small ding on the top near the waist on the bass side. Being under tension for almost 50 years, the action has come up some. A Bridge Doctor has been installed to combat top distortion, and playing in the first and second positions is fine, but the action gets rather high around the 12th fret, so we recommend a D standard or even C standard tuning to get the best playability (a neck set is likely in this guitar’s future.) A pickup system was removed to facilitate the installation of the Bridge Doctor.

Returns
Due to multiple parties such as the factory and the warehouse, we're unable to fully manage stock. The levels of stock can change at any time. You may not receive your order once it has been placed.
Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. Unfortunately, if thirty days have passed since you purchased your product, we are unable to offer you a return or exchange.
For your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It should also be in the original package.
