(SOLD)
(USED) Well, we have a new contender for most impressive bluegrass guitar in the shop! This amazing TD-R is Huss & Dalton’s interpretation of the classic square-shouldered dreadnought. Traditional appointments include herringbone top purfling, ivoroid binding, three-ring rosette, cut-through saddle… but they took this one all the way by using tight-grained Adirondack spruce on the top and beautiful figured Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides. The results are an instrument with all the guts, richness and power of the best vintage examples, made by one of today’s best acoustic guitar shops!
Other specs include 1 3/4″ nut, 2 1/4″ string spacing at the saddle, modified “V” neck profile. Ebony fingerboard with long-pattern diamond and square inlays. The tuners are nickel Waverly.
Condition is excellent, with only faint fret wear under the unwound strings in the first position. One very small nick in the peghead near the 5th string tuner (see photograph, barely noticeable) and a bit of tarnish on the tuners.
This guitar absolutely rocks. The traditional, huge-sounding dread that you’ve been waiting for.
