(SOLD) One of the earliest serial numbers from 2014, this highly customized Slope D from Bourgeois is a compelling blend of both Martin and Gibson influences, refined with Dana Bourgeois’ legendary voicing techniques and impeccable eye for materials selection. This guitar has an Adirondack spruce top and braces, and hide glue construction for the quick transmission of vibration. The most rare feature might be the tightly flamed Cuban mahogany back and sides. We consider Cuban mahogany to be the king of mahogany tone woods, its stiffness to weight ratio is as good as it gets and Cuban Mh guitars always seem to have a lightning-fast responsiveness and additional overtones vs other mahoganies. Visually, this set is superb.
The cosmetics are a variation on the DB Signature appointments package. The top trim includes traditional (non-DB) herringbone and a tiled wood rosette. The body, neck and peghead are all bound in Cocobolo, and there is a vivid, figured Cocobolo head plate. The ebony fingerboard has fossilized mammoth ivory diamond and square inlays. The tuners are gold Waverly with snakewood buttons, and are a nice match for the gold strap button and K&K pickup endpin jack. The pick guard is Tor-Tis.
This is a long scale guitar (25 1/2 inches) with 1 23/32″ nut and 2.2 string spacing at the belly bridge. Fast mahogany neck with modified “V” profile and satin finish. Fossilized walrus ivory bridge pins.
Condition is excellent on this instrument, with a small finish ding on the back of the peghead (see pic) and only the faintest fret wear under the unwound strings. The setup is low and fast, and the sound is very strong. Includes hard case.

For your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It should also be in the original package.
