(NEW) If you’ve been on the lookout for Collings’ smallest offering, at a price point and in a condition that can’t be beat, we are very pleased to offer you this BARELY used Parlor 2HT!
Part of the Traditional line, and the smallest overall Collings guitar, this Parlor does exactly what it sets out to do. 12-fret comfort, feather-light (especially for a rosewood guitar) and surprisingly large sound. This one has a clean, tight-grained Sitka top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and mahogany neck. Since it’s a Traditional, that means that it’s lightly built, with animal protein glue construction, with a small maple bridge plate and a super-thin nitro finish. It has a 1 3/4″ nut, 2 5/16″ string spacing at the saddle, and a comfortable modified V neck profile. It is short scale, 24 7/16″ to be exact. It has the Traditional 3-ring rosette and herringbone top purfling. Ivoroid binding and ivoroid Waverly tuner buttons.
Excellent condition with a few small dings around the sound hole. No fret wear.
Coolest of all, it includes the expertly rendered Collings Traditional case, also in superlative condition, and now discontinued.
It’s the Collings of parlor guitars, plain and simple.
